very good

very good, should be included in future iweb releases for the value it adds to published sites.. Hey Apple, buy this company ? ;-)

very good program

I am interested in SEO and decided to download this App from Rage Software. I wasnt sure what to expect but am pleasantly surprised how useful this SEO Tools App is. So now i have decided to take a look at some of these other internet development tools which are available through Rage Software and from what i can see, there is an impressive suite of internet products, that come with great support and full money back guarantee. Grrrreat stuff, I look forward to checking out the whole product line!

Not Responding

I am having probelm with not responding and I keep forcing it to quit, launching it and I am back in sqaure 1. I dont know may be I didnt select the entire web entirely or when I put my google analyl then Statcounter something got screwed up.

29.99 for a redundant app??

I didnt actually pay for this app (or at least I hope not) when I got it from the App Store so Im glad. Consider yourself warned, just go use Wordpress. Or just research Google Analytics yourself.

raged against rage REVISED

My previous review was - not helpful. Now, Im watching the tutorials. I think its a good practice for impatient me. They fly by. They are very user friendly, bite sized, doable. It will be a lot of work, and this is the ONLY way I will ever get it done. Thank you, I appologize for my earlier angry review. I thought I could remove or edit it myself, sorry that I cant.

Non funziona / Doesnt work

Sembra interessante, ma non mi permette di agire sui siti. Perchè? Sounds interesting, but does not allow me to act on the sites. Why?

Easy to use. Wish that the settings were permanent.

This software is very easy to use and applies the SEO-related information that should have been implemented into iWeb itself. The only downside is that if you do any edits to your pages in iWeb, the SEO Tool for iWeb settings are wiped out and you have to re-apply them with the SEO Tool software. The procedure to do so is straighforward and easy, however.

Meta Tags for iWeb

This is a great program works flawlesley! Up and rinning meta tags.

Brilliant app

This will be a huge help to my business! Thank you for the simple UI!!

Older version in App store

This is a great app; Ive been using it for years. The only problem is that the App store doesnt have the latest version. I downloaded it and "downgraded" the version I had been using in order to have the benefits of the App store, but found that the app didnt remember the settings/info for the websites Id been working on, so I had to trash it and "upgrade" to the version in the developers website.

IWeb SEO by RageSW

I found this app after I purchased my Mac Book Pro in March. When IWeb offered no SEO support, I told the sales person how disappointed I was. He promptly downloaded this app from the RageSW website. The end of July, Apple stopped offerening iWeb on their new computers. Lion does NOT support iWeb. In other words, Apple has hung all of their loyal customers out to dry. This software is supposed to save an .xml file to my hard drive for back up. I say supposed to, cause it did NOT. I have a 40-page website and all of the hours and hours of entering in the SEO information is GONE! I got zero information. I contacted Rage SW, and they reminded they have lost complete interest in offering tech support cause Apple has hung them out to dry, too. Oh, well Apple is big and can hurt the little guy. Rage SW reminded me that the software was free. So, that means it: 1) doesnt have to work 2) they dont have to offer pleasant tech support 3) they can wait three days before they give me any information. After all -- it is FREE. Dont bother with RageSW. Dont bother learning iWeb unless it is for a personal use project. If you need a website for your business, find something else. I am in the process of transferring over to using WordPress. It is free, but it just works. I sorta thought that WAS the reputation of Apple. Three strikes and Im out. Thought this did more "SEO"

Ok, I got this thinking it helped you to determine the best tags using current SEO information. All this actually does is displays a "form" that you have to fill out with information and then it "writes the meta tag" for you. Theres no real background info in it about SEO standards and practices. Although it does offer to "sell" you a lot of other items. Honestly, I could have done this by searching the internet for SEO terms and then using notepad to write the metatags.

GREAT APP!!! HOWEVER, BE CAREFUL WITH THIS UPDATE - OVERWRITES YOUR SETTING

I love this app. It is the best SEO tool for iWeb websites. I use it almost on weekly basis in managing several websites. However this update overwrites the settings for my individual websites! Now I will have to restore some files from Time Machine in the Library folder. Be careful and make sure you have backed up the iWeb SEO Tool and SEO Tool for iWeb folders in your Library folder. PS: I have OS X Lion UPDATE: After more exploration I think that the only thing lost is Head Code and Footer Code on the Site Settings tab. Everything else on the Title Tag, Meta Tag, Images and Custom Meta Tags is preserved which is good! Anyway, make sure you have a Time Machine or other backup of the folders mentioned above so you can restore them if necessary!

Good, but does not work

The idea of this app is great! I think its a great tool, but unfortunatly it does not work. if you re going to upload it says its uploaded, but it is not. When you exit the app and back next time your websites gone. Everything you did, need to do again. Once again, I recommended this up but after serious update!!

Beware of update 2.2! Loss of data!

Updating to the new version wiped out ALL of my saved tags, so beware. Had to do a lot of work over again. Developers, please warn your customers of this or tell us how to prevent it from happening. Otherwise, easy to use, efficient, works very well! Love the new feature to add a favicon; was much more difficult to do before.

iWeb files can not be edited beyond your local files

Forget it; even if you edit your files in dashcode or seo tool or whatever HTML editor you use, Apple had make certain that unless you change their program, namely iWeb itself, you can not upload your edited files to a server; neither FileZilla or any other ftp uploader will allow you to upload edited files to your web hosting device or service provider. Text Edit, Dashcode will not work either. files published to your deshtop will reflect edited iWeb files, however when you upload them, they will not reflect your edits. If you dont believe this simply open the developer console in safari when you bring up your site and guess what, they will not be there. Good luck, dont waste your money, those developer are laughing all the way to the bank.

great app! does exactly waht it says

this is exactly what i needed for my iweb site. this app works and works well! does exactly what the description says it does. thanks!

Makes iWeb a viable solution for a small business with limited web dev resources

I have not seen the tracking work yet since I just used the app - however, I viewed the source for my pages and the code is there. If you host your site on your own domain, It does make it necessary to use an ftp app or some other tool to publish your site instead of publishing directly from iWeb. I think it would be a gret addition to the app to support sites hosted anywhere, but it is not a huge inconvenience to publish the site to a local folder and then "upload" the pages from that folder to my hosting service.

The missing half of iWeb

The SEO Tool does what iWeb does not. You really need this program if you want your iWeb site to come up in a search engine site. Ive used it for three different sites, two hosted on Mobile Me and the other on GoDaddy and it works well. There are still annoying things that iWeb does with images that the SEO Tool cant fix. It is easy to add your Google Analytics code and favicon, too. Ive not had any problems with it doing strange things that other people have reported. Works as advertised. :)

Wonderful!

Works great on non iWeb sites too! Simple, fast, and to the point. What more could you ask for. And, as far as I can see, they update it pretty often.
